This internship is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to learn multiple aspects of the fashion industry. The studio space is located in downtown Los Angeles and interns will be mainly assisting the production manager. The staff is small and intimate, therefore, interns get the opportunity to take on important responsibilities and prove themselves within the company.
We are looking for interns that are highly organized, motivated, responsible, and familiar with the fashion industry with an eye for detail.
PRODUCTION Intern: must have solid knowledge of cutting and pattern-making, and have a basic understanding of draping, sewing, and textiles. Bilingual in Spanish is a huge plus, but not required.
STUDIO Intern: entry level; must have good clerical and computer skills, proficiency in excel, quickbooks, and Microsoft word preferred.
An interns duties will also include organizing, running errands, shipping, administrative work, etc. This position requires a serious level of professionalism and maturity and has the potential to turn into a paid position. Learn the details of how a luxury women’s clothing line is designed and produced in the United States.
Must be able to start immediately. This position is unpaid. The required commitment for this internship is three days a week for a complete design season.
